Thickness options; see fedoo.util.shell_recovery.ShellOptions.

With reduction=None and no position/index, read the sole saved thickness point if available, otherwise the top face. With a reduction, reads return extrema, potentially from different thickness points, and scalar invariants are computed before reduction. For nonlinear stress recovery, extrapolate=True (default) extends the outermost linear segments to layer boundaries. False retains nearest-IP values. Stored-point reductions are unaffected; see ShellOptions for the limitations of extrapolated stress estimates.
