static Mesh.from_meshio(io_mesh, name: str = '') → Mesh

Build a Mesh from a meshio mesh object.

Node coordinates, element connectivity, node sets (point_sets, e.g. Abaqus *NSET) and element sets (cell_sets, e.g. Abaqus *ELSET) are imported. Meshes holding several element types are returned as a MultiMesh; element sets are then split per element type.

Parameters:

• io_mesh (meshio.Mesh) – Mesh object returned by meshio.read.

• name (str) – name of the new created Mesh. If specified, this Mesh is added to the dict containing all the loaded Mesh (Mesh.get_all()).
