generate_cylindrical_local_frame(crd, axis=2, origin=None, dim=None)

Generate cylindrical local frames (er, etheta, ez) at each node.

Parameters:

  • crd (array_like or Mesh) – Node coordinates, shape (N, 3) or (N, 2).

  • axis (int, optional) – Cylinder axis: 0=X, 1=Y, 2=Z (default 2).

  • origin (array_like, optional) – Origin of the cylindrical coordinate system. The coordinate-system origin is used by default.

  • dim ({2, 3}, optional) – Spatial dimension. By default it is inferred from crd or the supplied mesh.
