import_file(filename: str, name: str = '') → Mesh

Import a mesh from a file.

Legacy ASCII VTK/Gmsh reader. Prefer fedoo.Mesh.read() for new workflows and broader format support.

Parameters:

• filename (str) – Name of file to import. Should be a “.msh” or a “.vtk” ascii files.

• name (str, optional) – Name of the imported Mesh. The default is “”.

Return type:

Mesh object
